David Randall of Croydon Live http://croydon.live-uk.com
was unable to attend the May 20 Sussex Online
launch, but mailed the following text of the offer
he planned to make at the event.
UK Live has developed a structure and the
supporting systems to operate one-stop networks for
local information and interactivity. We are putting
this into practice in Croydon where there are now
more than 200 pages online. Extensive plans
involving the Employment Service and local college
are now under discussion.
Included in our product are noticeboards, online
voting, online art gallery, directories, and DIY
web sites that anyone can build and update without
any knowledge of coding etc. This is especially
useful to local non-profit organisations, to whom
we are offering free web sites.
We offer our entire product and supporting
systems to any local organisation or dedicated
group of individuals who want to operate a
community network in their area.
Our networks offer a lot of scope for revenue
generation, and we would, of course, wish to
extract part of that value when it comes on stream.
