Making the Net
Work
During 1997 the UK Government funded development of the Getting Connected project to help non-profit organisations use the Internet.
Partnerships Online is working with the Community Action Network and other organisations on the second phase of that project, provisionally entitled Making the Net Work: Creating Learning Communities.
The programme will include:
- Development of the Partnerships Online communications system of Web, mailing lists and conferencing in partnership with CAN.
- Projects with participating organisations
- Development of guidance material as part of the International Guide to Community Networking.
- Workshops, seminars and other events. We hope that Terry Grunwald US author of the book Making the Net Work will join us in the UK for a series of events from July 24 1998.
