Development programme for
the Manifesto and Task Force
Task Force
Many of the elements of the programme
are under development already. However, a Task Force is needed to
develop some parts which are missing, and develop longer-term
proposals for funding and support. It could do some or all of the
following - depending on how far the communications
and animation system
facilitated collaboration between different projects. The
manifesto
proposes that the Task Force should:
- set up and supports the
pathfinders (7)
- creates the virtual resource
centre which will be available to the pilots and anyone else
(4)
- look at international experience
as part of the resource centre development (4)
- create a network for champions -
pilots and others (9)
- run consultation and
participation exercises. These could be part of the debates
(2)
and local
development
- produce recommendations on the
longer-term agency, business models, funding etc (8)
- works with BBC and others in the
online industry on debates (2),
the Hub (3)
and overall programme.
The Task Force should draw on
expertise from public, private and community sectors. Ideally it
should start work with Government support, linked to the Policy
Action Team 15 programme on social exclusion.
